I’m Nathan, a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and web developer working in Seattle. A portfolio is here, more or less. A CV with design samples can be downloaded here. A writing sample is here.
My current clients include the Better World Books, Community Alliance for Global Justice, the Northwest Chocolate Festival, Newground Social Investment, Web Collective, Egg Design, and Withinsight Technologies. Past clients include Genevieve Catering, Cascadian Edible Landscapes, Full Circle Farm, SoupCycle , Interra Project and Puget Sound Community Change. I just graduated with an MBA in Sustainable Community Economic Development from Bainbridge Graduate Institute. I feel lucky to be there. I studied Mandarin Chinese and Linguistics at the University of Colorado in Boulder, which is why I sometimes post things like this.
When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time biking around Seattle, writing poetry, making music, and meditating. Sometimes, I think about branding, economics, fashion, business, clothing, books and social artistry.
Carrotrope.com is named after Pavement’s “Carrot Rope.” According to Domino Records, “what a carrot rope is exactly is apparently as much a mystery to Pavement as to us. What isn’t mysterious is how great a song it is.” I agree.
